A Note on Bataille’s Idea of Unemployed Negativity

Bataille views the human subject as negativity which is desire. At the Kojèvean end of history, there is nothing left to do, no more opposition. This is where our negativity as human subjects becomes unemployed, as it is not utilized or employed. There is nothing left to do… nothing left to desire… So, have we reached the end of history? I’m not sure.
