Dramatization of Experience as the Key to Experience

04/29/2021

I’m reading Georges Bataille (Critical Lives) by Stuart Kendall and it briefly mentions that Bataille saw dramatization (of experience (?)) as the key to experience. I think this is definitely true in that when we dramatize our experience, we expand it to a “grand level” in which we can now see that what our unconscious (think Freud’s usage of this term) used to hide, now becomes revealed as we have a “larger view” of everything. This also helps us to better understand our experience.
